Room for Rent Ball Sq, Somerville....570+ util ASAP [Jun. 29th, 2011|08:42 pm]
Boston Housing

[Tags|, , , , , , , , , , , ]

My roommate and I are looking for a third roommate for Sept 1 or sooner. The room is 570, utilities average about 60 a month and include cable and wireless internet. There is an eat in kitchen, an a large living/dining room. We've got a nice backyard with a cemented patio (and I'm gonna start a garden in one of the patches). Room can either be furnished or not. No pets. Coin op laundry in the basement and parking on the street (the landlord reimbursed me for my pass, and I never have a hard time finding a spot)

My roommate and I are professionals in our thirties. We're pretty laid back, and have a pretty chill friendly environment. I make dinner for a small group of friends most mondays before we play trivia at Johnny D's, people come over to watch movies every once in a while, and there is usually a bigger social gathering (often with rock band on my wii) every few months. Otherwise its pretty quiet around here. If you're looking for people to hang out with, that's great...if not, that's fine too.

seeking roomies for East Cambridge [Jul. 28th, 2010|05:23 pm]
Boston Housing

I know we're sick of the fall housing rush, but just a month left! I'd appreciate the passing along of info and whatnots. I'm not on lj often enough (Craigslist is certainly sucking up all my time), so mentioning of prior posts is fine. Main points: Sept 1, accepts cats, Under $675 (honestly, more like $575). Places by Central/Kendall and Lechmere/Heath are the ideal spots, but a few other places would be considered- the goal is for me to drive to Govt Ctr in under 15 mins since I can do that from where I am in North Cambridge now. I'm debating JP since I've got friends by Stonybrook, but sorry no Forest Hills. http://boston.craigslist.org/gbs/sha/1868486467.html Brownie points for on-site laundry, no couples, 2-3br with only one other cat :) xposted to davis sq comm

California-->Davis Sq...help?! [Apr. 12th, 2010|10:21 pm]
Boston Housing

Crossposted to davis_square

Hey everyone!
I'll be graduating from UC Berkeley next month and I'm planning to move to Boston. After ::extensive:: searching, I've absolutely fallen in love with Davis Square! Here's the rub: the same few places keep showing up on Craigslist, and most of them are awful.

Does anyone here know of an apartment opening up for 6/1?

Here's the details from my end:
*as close to the T station as possible... so less than a mile would be ideal
*cat friendly
*1-br (preferably), or studio
*laundry in building, heat included (ideally)
*parking would be awesome, but I can deal either way
*non-basement... it doesn't have to have a zillion windows, but I need SOME light, especially when adjusting to Boston winters! ;)
*I can pay up to $1200... although on a post-college budget, less is obviously better

If you do set me up with a place, I'm thinking some sort of compensation or homemade cookies would definitely be in order :)

Thank you guys in advance. I can't WAIT to move out there and experience all of the amazing stuff that everyone's been posting about on here!!

(copied from my craigslist posting)

Hey there! Are you looking for a roommate for June 1st?Collapse )
Basically I want to live someplace where I can come home after a hectic day at work to a relaxed environment where I can have some space, and also have a friendly relationship with my roommates.

If you think I would be a good fit for your apartment and need someone for June 1st, please email me.

I look forward to hearing from you

Cambridge $560 [Feb. 12th, 2010|12:37 pm]
Boston Housing

Two-fold housing post here, I need to fill a room now and maybe a place in a few months.

I'm seeking one person to take the place of my roomies who are breaking the lease since they found a place early ($560 in Camberville for March 1), and also I'd rather move on myself so I'm looking for a place with similar stats to what I've got now for May 31 or even a little earlier. There will be two cats already, sorry no doggies allowed at the current opening.

Sadly I'm considering trying someplace closer to downtown than Davis, but I do love it here so I'll probably end up staying close. Anything within 15 min walking along the Red line from MIT and north is good for me as long as it has parking and allows a fluffcat! I'd also consider Lechmere or some amazing deal in the North or South ends. Preferably, I'd like to live with under 4 people total, myself and one other would be great. Comment or PM in either case if you know of someone seeking Now or have a place opening later this spring :)

Spread the word!

2 bedroom share, roomate needed, January 1, Somerville [Nov. 3rd, 2009|05:25 pm]
Boston Housing

[Current Mood |excitedexcited]

Looking for a roomie, Jan 1 in Somerville.

The Apt: Sunny, hardwood floors, and recently renovated. Granite countertop, gas stove, and back deck. Rent is $550 per month, plus around $100 in utilities. Security deposit, but no last month's. Landlord is attentive and ethical, but not nosey. Plenty of street parking, no permits. Near Broadway, and therefore MBTA. Near park.

Me: 43 queer, fat, and an all around great person with an infectious laugh. I have a chill cat who hates other animals but LOVES people. Seeking someone who is also quiet, resonsible, respectful, and a good communicator. Who is also a non-smoker, non-heavy drug or alcohol user. I like things neat so that I can jump right into projects - whether it is making dinner, painting, or doing homework. I will be driving to the Back Bay almost every weekday, and am open to negotiating rides. I enjoy chilling with roomie and movie at night, or talking over coffee in the morning.

Excited to hear from you!
